PAULA LEVIS is a Melbourne based Costume Designer whose passion is in understanding and manipulating clothing / textures / colours / shapes and patterns to communicate ideas. She studied Fashion Design at the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology (RMIT) and went on to obtain a Graduate Diploma in Theatre Design at the Victorian College of the Arts (VCA) in 2001.

Although having designed across all performance genres, Paula has devoted the majority of her career to the vibrant contemporary dance scene of Melbourne, Australia. She is also a committed and lifelong student of Painting and Drawing. 

Paula has taught at RMIT in Life Drawing and Design (Fashion) and at the VCA (Costume Design). She has received a Greenroom Award for Costume Design for Token Armies (2019) and for Blazeblue Oneline (2008) and was the recipient of the Thelma Afford Award for Costume Design (2008) and the Kristian Fredrikson Scholarship for Design in the Performing Arts (2022).
